Browband queries,any help please? :)

Hi Im looking into making affordable custom browbands to sell, but could someone please tell me what do I make the rosette and the "flag" underneath it from? I know it is made from ribbon but two things, how do I complete the pleated ribbon neatly on the rosette? (doesnt seem to join up right) and most puzzling lol, what do i use as a base for ribbon on the flag? Is it a thin plastic or another material because I cant seem to work out what to use and youtube only shows cardboard ones which wont hold up well!

I would be so grateful if anyone could help please also what sort of price would you think is reasonable for well made custom browbands please? thankyou!
