Browbands

Digby's broband is a little tight...from end to end it measures about 15.5" it is a full size.... is that a standard full size measurement??

does anyone know of where to get some nice browbands it came off a stubben CTD bridle, i dont really know if i just want one to match which would just be a raised and padded one...or with something on it...

any thoughts?

i can measure my browbands when i go out to the tackroom tomorrow, if you want. i've got a collection, various ones fit various horses, but i like them on the loose side. no idea of actual measurements offhand though.
i've got a new one from Derby House, it's their chain one (brown, with gold coloured chain running through it) so it's slightly blingy but not actual crystals, which i think would be OTT for eventing! my new girl looks very pretty in it... and it's plenty long enough.

There isn't actually a 'standard' size for browbands (or any bridlework - each manufacturer uses their own sizing) but to be honest 15.5" is more a cob size than full. (Does that make any sense

i just brought a swarvoski crystal one from ebay, bargain at £12 brand new.
its not too bling either as the crystals are brown too. it just makes it look a little different!

this is subtle bling! it is even more unsterstated as my tack is brown so you hardly notice the stones!

15.5 seems to be fairly standard for full size brow bands:

I've got extra-full browbands for my girl as she's got a broad forehead and short head.

Sabre do a plain raised browband which is lovely and simple (DH sell them), and robinson's have got some flat hunter type ones which are cheap if you just wanted to check the sizing.

I haven't seen any extra-full blingy ones sold separately but tbh I haven't been looking out for them

well im gonna have a bit more of a nose about but i have found the sabre one from DH that is very similar to the one i currently have...so may end up going for that
