We have a tiny lawned area which is now all brown and dead. I thought it was only bitches that made the grass like this?? I was hoping that when my 10 mth old pup started cocking his leg this would stop but he cocks his leg on walks but squats in the garden. Its not a massive problem but it would be nice if we could have a bit of greenery in the garden (he pulled all my plants and shrubs out as a pup)
Was talking the other day to someone who said they had heard of a mineral rock you put in the water to stop the wee turning the grass brown?? Has anyone heard of it or any tips to help my poor grass grow back.

Yes, they are called "Dog rocks" and you put them in the water bowl, don't empty it out but just top up with fresh when needed, and change the rocks every 2 months.....easy enough if your dog only drinks from its bowl.....mine loves a puddle! We sell them at work and people do keep coming back for them sooooo guess they must be happy with the effect. Hope that helps. x

Oooh thanks for that. I know its a really stupid question but they dont cause any side effects or harm do they? It seems amazing that something like this can work. How do they work?

Hi - no side effects that I know, or have heard of, Think they work by leeching minerals into the water. I have no idea how they effect the urine , maybe the minerals alter the Ph of the urine ???.

I thought it was bitches that made the grass brown. Is it odd for a male to do the same?

Thanks for the tips, I will definately try them
Where did you get the pee stick from?

I have a traffic cone in the garden for my JRT to cock his leg up. Its handy as have positioned it over a drain, so easy to was down if it gets a bit smelly in summer.
