i have brown saddle and martingale, breastplate and lighter brown bridle, but my boy is ironish grey (pic) .. he looks good i think.. makes his colour come through a bit :D

Yes - wish I could post a pic. I've got a lovely Mark Todd bridle (not sure they do them any more) in that Oak Bark colour and it looks so nice on my grey mare.

My saddle is actually dark brown (Throrowgood T6 is all that will fit her, dammit), and I've also got a dark brown Stubben bridle (ebay purchase) for showing which looks very nice.

Like any leatherwork, the better quality, the nicer it looks.

I dont really like the redish tack and I dont think it would look that nice on a grey tbh - sorry! Dark brown havana tack looks fine though (my sj saddle and bridle are both dark brown but my dressage saddle and bridle are black). I think the redish tack can clash with a grey if they have another colour in their coats aswell which is why I dont like it!

Are you sure they dont make the saddle in any other colours?

I really like brown on greys, but im not too sure about reddy brown. I think depending on your horses colouring it may or may not look ok :)

thanks guys, maybe I should see if the saddle does come in black, or a darker brown then I could keep the tack I have got.

maybe when I win the lottery I can buy the tack and another horse to match it!
