So Monty is a typical tb, very ticklish and sensitive. He came to me with horrendous girth galls, he now has a lovely wintec girth that he loves, but he is still nippy to tack up.

I do it very slowly and, although he swings his head around to warn me, he very rarely bites.

On Saturday, I was reaching under to get the girth and he swung his head a little too far. Cue his bottom teeth connecting with my forehead

He was very shocked since he didn't mean to get me.

The bruise is now starting to come up so I have to go to OH's family for christmas with a ruddy great mark in the middle of my forehead

ouch and not a great look to be sporting over Christmas ....the shape of your horses nashers encrusted into your forehead. (((hugs)))

obviously its a sign that he loves you.

Its an attractive look from the sounds of it. Reminds me years ago came off my veteran (!), went to the doctor subsequently as a bit concerned that I had done more damage to my back than I had thought, doctor asks what the other marks were and I told him oh that is where the horse bit me last week! Yes, loved the dear old horse, owned him 17 years until he died. Anyway, at least gave the doctor a good laugh if nothing else.

My usual Monty-related-injuries are on my arse!! He often nips me when I'm picking his feet out but I cannot imagine a situation when my OH's parents would notice them
