My horse has been slightly lame now for three weeks.
The vet came out two weeks ago and used hoof testers, which he reacted to quite badly.
We left him for two weeks and put arnica gel on the hoof and gave him arnica pills, whilst still letting him live out in the field.
The vet came yesterday and he still had quite a reaction, so he nerve blocked the foot and he showed some improvement.
The vet was surprised that a bruise had lasted this long, but said would give him another 4 weeks, he siad he didn't suspect it being a fracture.
Can anyone suggest anything else I could use to speed up the process?
Could there be anything more sinister going on?
