Bruising to Laminae!!

Specifically what do you mean by "bruising" of the laminae? How are you aware that the laminae has been bruised?

Hi Caritas. The only place that the lamina should be visible is in the white line. You can get bruising here which can be a symptom of laminitus (inflammation of the lamina) but if there are no other signs you may be able to exclude this. Concussion can cause bruising particularly if the foot is unbalanced. You may also see bruising in the hoof wall, this shows up more in white feet, this if continual can also be a symptom of imbalance or knocks to the wall. If you can give some more detail I will try to be a bit more specific, hope this makes some sense anyway.
