Can anyone recommend brushing boots for turnout that don't overheat the tendons and especially don't rub!!

I have a sensitive thin skinned TB and turning out without boots isn't really an option

Thanks

I have just bought the tri zone boots which are air cooled but they are not cheap. Presume your horse isn't going out 24 x 7? in which case the heating shouldn't be too much of a problem - but as I have friends who have similiar tender TB's would have thought finding boots that don't cause a reaction would have been harder? For straightforward basic boots I would always go for the Woof club boots - they offer basic protection, easy to get on and are hard wearing. My boy has them on his hinds for turn out now.

Thanks, he's out during the day only and has Woof BB which are starting to rub now he's out for longer.

Just wondered if there was another brand that might be better, will have a look at the tri-zone ones.

You could get some Turnout Boots? I've heard very good things about the Equilibrium ones, and the Premier Equine ones. Though they aren't cheap, they last for a long time provided you look after them well! :) If that isn't an option, I've heard brilliant reviews on the Premier Equine Xreme Original Eventing Boots and Air Cooled Eventing/Racing Boots. The Air cooled ones I've heard are brilliant at keeping their legs cool, but as are the Premier Equine turnout boots. :) xx

the equlibrium turnout boots made my arabs legs sweaty and sore :(

I used to jump my cob in premier equine air cooled event boots and they were fab - never turned her out in them though but I do like premier equine as a make.

I don't turnout in them, but I've used the Equilibirum Allsport boots for nearly a year and I don't think I've ever taken them off to sweaty legs and I don't think they would rub.

I have the same problem and my girlie spent all winter (when the grond was rutty) in the Weatherbeeta neopreney type ones not sure of the actual name ~ they didnt rub or make her sore, legs were not hot or sweaty either! Here is a pic of her in them -

Think they are brushing boots - could be wrong though :)
