brushing boots nightmare :(

Evening everyone

Have had a nightmare over the past year trying to find brushing boots for Bailey. Any type that I put on he spends the whole ride trying to bite off. Out hacking we stop every other step so he can itch his leg and try and get them off so I'm guessing they really irritate him!! :O

At the moment he doesn't wear boots but I know he does brush every now and then. Are there any alternatives to brushing boots I could use?

Have you checked his legs for mud fever/mites etc?

Yes had a good inspection and all clear. Doesn't itch his legs any other time + problem is the same when he's got his feathers + when they're clipped off xxx

Why don't you try fleece polo bandages? Or really if your horse truely hates them then go without!

Does he do the same if you bandage them? Mine scratches her face on them so I've given up! Hers is more to do with having a sweaty face though.

open fronted tendon boots???

could be his legs are getting hot and irritating him, and also consider the tightness..

sausage boot ? my sisters cob moved close behind and all she ever used was 1 sausage boot. It may work if he brushes low down and may not irritate him ?
