Brushing boots on at night?

Is it safe to leave brushing boots on day and night for a few nights while on enforced turnout due to possible strangles?
Boots taken off every morning while horse groomed in the field.

Why would you want to leave them on for this long?

Personally I would say no, they should not really be left on for much longer than 8 hours, and I certainly would not want to turn a horse out in them 24/7. Unless of course they were very very breathable and it was neccesary for my horse to wear boots all the time.

Ditto vicm2509 - I would just take them off. I never leave boots on in the field anyway as imo they can do more harm than good if left on for long periods.

I would say just take them off!! ur more likely to cause harm by leaving them on for that length of time

really you shouldnt leave boots on for more than 12 hrs at any time MAX, as if left on for substantial periods it can cause damage to the tendons

I had to t/o in brushing boots- My horse came in cut EVERY day without fail. When 24hr t/o time came around i was really worried and in fact posted here about it.
I left the boots off and he cut his legs to pieces for the first week- I was constantly hosing and cleaning cuts. Then all of a sudden it stopped (touch wood) I wonder if they learn to be a bit more careful?
