am totally confused about brushing boots tho! am looking for everyday use (although not for the field) i.e. dressage, hacking, poss. jumping until i get fet. and ten. ones. The school i ride in is not great and incredibly mucky and permanently puddled - am borrowing white WW ones at the mo and cannot use them every day because they wont dry in time! basically, these boots are gonna be hammered and crushed and soaked and loved. He does brush so wanted strong strike pad - don't mind cost as long as they last forever

Any suggestions? Thank you very much - sorry if i waffle a bit! p.s. I was looking at the NEW lite ones or WW double locking, any thoughts? xxxx

I would always go for Woof boots - they seem to last forever. I had some Clarendons but didn't like them (too stiff). I also had some N.E.W. ones but they didn't last very well - stitching came undone. I have both single velcro (for everyday) and double velcro (for hunting etc). My horses are TB's but with decent bone (8").

i got some mark todd ones from rideaway in think, and they are very nice. quiet inexpensive, double locking, and with good brushing protection,
they seem to wash well too. i was very impressed!

I've used the same set of Woof double close brushing boots on my chap who moves very close behind for over two years, there's a bit of a hole in one hind one now but they've certainly been good value for money. I also have some Loveson cheap ones with really chunky strike pads on, they were only about £10 pair and they're fine for hacking out.
