I would love everyones opinion please. I have used all sorts of brushing boots over the years, but now it seems we should be more concerned about how hot the tendons get, what brushing boots would you recommend I buy?
I need them for schooling my youngster who still bashes his back fetlocks together in his moments of loss of balance, so they need to be tough.
I like the equilibrium boots, but do you think these make the tendons too hot? Should I be looking at airflow boots?

Personally I think it's a load of rubbish. We've all been using brushing boots for years: Clarendon with the fleecy lining, Leather with no lining or the cheap neoprene ones, all with no trouble. I get the ones that give the most protection to the areas he knocks. And no need to pay £60 a pair

I like the look of the Equilibrium boots too. But to be honest, for just schooling at home I use good old Woof Wear ones. If Im competing - I use sheepskin tendon boots which do heat up the legs a bit but I just make sure I take them off in between classes to let them breathe a bit. XC wise I use the best protection ones (N.E.W lightweight competition boots). I think protection is more important than ventilation personally. As long as you dont leave them on all day long then should be fine - like if Im doing an endurance ride then I dont tend to boot up.
