Please someone remind me again - what is the point in joining as a club member, would it let me do up to discovery without having to buy a ticket? Im not jumping over 1m for the forseable but also would prefer to jump BN and amateur classes as club in my area only goes up to 80. Is this possible and is it cheaper/better to join as a club member or not at all (then do I need a ticket?? Is that per class and how much do they cost?).

I used to BS loads but been out of it so long Im not sure whats changed!

Thanks

Nope, club only lets you do club. It goes to 1m in our area at least.

If you haven’t joined BS for 3 years your cheapest option is to join as a RC member where it’s something like £140 for you and the horse. Alternatively you join BS for 6 months but if you do it on the 2nd of the month it’s actually 7 months.

If really no value then it’s expensive clear round in form of tickets.

The club membership is great although most shows in my area only run club classes from 60cm-80cm.
If you are wanting to do BN, disco etc you will need to have a full membership. With a full membership you can still jump club classes they just don't show up on your horses record.
If you don't register BS at all or just register club but try to jump BN etc etc you won't get placed or be eligible to qualify for the national amateur second rounds.
I think I was about £180 got myself and my horse together, have just registered my other one there and was about £85 for just the horse.

Ok, thanks thats so annoying! How I read the club membership was that you could jump any class up to 1m, which I assumed would be discovery then anything over that you'd need to become a full member. Such a shame when our club classes are so limited here, never seen one over 80. So right now Im just doing 70 and 80 club classes when Id rather be doing an 80 club then BN but dont feel its worth me becoming a full member just to do that for the time being. £180 is pricey just for piddling around the low levels.
