BSJA - 2phase? silly question

Silly question but my first BSJA event says in the description that it is 2phase, what does that mean? Does that mean you jump first round, leave the arena and do the jump off later, or does it mean you jump first round and if you go clear you keep going around the jump off?

You jump your first round and if you go clear you go straight onto the jump off

You jump the first round and if you go clear you go straight on to the jump off, if not a bell will ring and you leave the arena. What you first described is table A7.
