For those who are interested, the schedule for the Area 46 Championship Show at Ardingly from 20th to 22nd July 2007 has now been posted on the Area website :-

For anyone who hasn't been, it's a great show with some good classes and good prize money and i would recommend it to anyone. It's certainly one of our 'stay away shows' for the year

This isn't an advert as i have nothing to do with the organisation of the show, but simply a recommendation based on my experience of it last year

It had a great schedule last year but this years is blinding for lower level and higher level BSJA - well done Area 46!

Yes, all three rings run on grass....but the warm-ups are usually on sand / rubber

They do water...but in fact last year we had the heaviest flash flood type storms imaginable......just after they had watered

The grass covering is good though and as you would expect from a county showground, the going is as good as most places

went this w/end for the ODE and the ground was quite hard, with long-ish grass. deffo some horses not enjoying it. that was in the arena right next to the warm up - not sure what it's called.

it's an amazing venue and one i'd love to go to sometime... not that i'm a jumper !
