I really take comfort in the post about people having problems, its so good to know its not just me.
Apparently i like nose ploughing the floor better than actually riding my horse. I fell off at home yesterday but it wasn't so bad and i thought i'd put it behind me and go jumping today as planned. Two weeks ago we jumped round a 1.05 at addington and went DC....last week i had two refusals at the same height, so this week i decided to jump the disco and then maybe 1.05 if i felt ok.
Meh. I fell off in the collecting ring, i put her horribly into an upright and she decided she couldnt manage it (it was about 2 foot!!) and stopped, lets just say - i didnt. I still have sand in my teeth.
Got back on, neck and shoulder hurting a little but even more determined now, after a few more practise jumps my number gets called and i go into the ring. My canter is good, my stride is good, but she stops at the first. Im more than a little frustrated now so she gets a whack on the bum, she isnt happy but when i turn her round and start again she doesn't even think of stopping. The rest of the round was a bit scrappy, but i had a good stride to most and only rolled a pole at one fence because i had a bad line in.
Im really sore now, im sure my neck and shoulder will be horrid tomorrow....i could really do with some forum love right now - soooo frustrated!
