BSJA classes ???

What are the differences between the classes? eg newcomers 1.10 and members cup 1.10??
Looking to do some bsja after catton park has been cancelled!

Newcomers are restricted to horses not to have won more than £300. I think Members Cup is an open class. You don't see much of these anymore as they tend to say 1.10 Open or 1.10 Amateur

I think the Members cup is a qualifier for the Scope festival but I could be totally wrong because I thought that had winnings limit on it and was normally run alongside Newcommers

There is no such thing as a Members cup 1.10 anymore. They used to be and if you jumped 4 Double clears you qualified for the Festival. It was an open, but there might have been a restriction on the rider. What you have now is the Smarterbuilder 1.15 class, which is an open and if you come in the top 4 you qualify for scope. Its the smallest open class you can do up there and the final is very quick.
