Hi, We decided to go to Weston Lawns on Sunday and after the last couple of indoor shows with runouts
,
we decided no more indoor this season. We turned up at 11am, as on the website it said that class was not before 11. Well mine was more like 12.30. We jumped in the 90cm and just had a pole down so better than the last couple of shows.
Then we were entered into the British Novice. There were 12 fences and when I asked someone if it was 2 phase they said that it was single phase. I got mixed up and thought that it was another name for A7
So went in and jumped a lovely double clear, allbeit went at a forward show jumping canter, not cutting in anywhere. Friend never told me it was a JO too. But well chuffed with DC.
It is quite a good idea to get you to jump the first 6 fences at BN height and then the timed 6 fences, (whether clear or not) at the Discovery height. I was estatic with her, she jumped perfectly and the doubles were spot on.
Extra carrots for tea.
We were kna**ered tho as it was a long day. Left yard at 9.45am got back at 4.15pm.
To top it all off, she was a little fidgety on the way home, and when we got back, we realised that the rubber had folded over and she had managed to stand on it but had slipped a couple of times on the plastic floor but only about 6-8inches long as the other rubber had stopped her feet slipping any further. I think this happened because I didn`t put any new shavings in and she wee`d twice and poo`d about 4 times. I am thinking of getting one of those CCTV that you can take out with you and still watch your horse.
But we still enjoyed the day. A much better start to the outdoor shows.
