my daughter wants to affiliate her horse next year or the year after. she is currently jumping him at towerlands open nights in the 85cm and 95cm. we have been to 1 novice night where she was placed third in the 85cm, and 2 open nights, the first one he had a pole in the 85 and came third in the 95cm with a 1.05 JO. last week she had a pole in both the 85cm and 95cm classes. the horse is still finding these heights fairly easy and his attitude is almost 'not high enough, cant be bothered!'. she has had plenty of double clears and has won and been placed every time out at this height at local level which isnt always up to height as we all know.so i was wondering whether he is ready to have a go at a BN class on a ticket. what do you think ?

I would say that if he is jumping 85 and 95cm with no problem then there should be no reason why your daughter shouldn't give BN a go. The only difference I found between unaffil and affil is that the spreads are wider and the fences look a lot more solid. Good luck if you give it a go.

Yep....give it a go
