I'm currently registered and so is my horse. The horse is going out on loan and I have just had my renewal form. Is it best for me to re-join, as I have a special deal as a RC member or should I let the person loaning her register. I have a feeling that the girl loaning her may already be a member.

Check with the person you are loaning to, what they want to do. If they are not planning to jump affiliated, then there is no point.

She should pay for the membership though. You will need to be a member as you own the horse.

Oh thanks, I thought I might need to be a member as owner. Yes the loanee person is going to jump affiliated, but I think my discounted package to rejoin, covers both me and the horse. So will that be all right or do I need to have a different sort of membership as an owner.I'm happy to renew as I'll be BSJAing my new horse, if I can work up the enthusiasm

Owner needs to be registered, as otherwise they will havce to put their number down as owner.

If you are going to compete, I'd renew as if nothing else your horse might wins some more money.

Ideally get loanee to pay the registration for the neddy, but if not and they are going to pay the entry fees I still think it would be worth it (My £160 to join pales compared to the £60 it costs me to compete!!!)
