Had my 2 jumping over 3 days this weekend and had an ok weekend all in all.
On the first day my lad had 3 down in the small grand prix (meant to be 1.25, but due to so many entries it was more 1.30 to weed everyone out!) Entirely me being so determind that he would not stop that i kept on kicking - a bit too much!
My mare jumped really well, clear and one down in the jump which was just unlucky really. she finished 8th and I got a prize for the best dorset rider
so, saturday. both were entered for the b&c and the 1.30. my mare had a green moment and had the first fence down in the b&c. she seemed to have a bit of fat hock after that so i didnt jump her in the 1.30 (probably me being too overprotective, she was fine on sunday but better sound than not!)
the boy then whizzed round the b&c and did a double clear and WON by 4 seconds! very pleased, hes qualified for scope now
He then had one down the 1.30 but hey, i wasnt too bothered!
sunday - the girl just did the 1.30 - first fence again but fab after that, very pleased as shes only 7, and the tracks were quite technical for me and her!! and the lad had the last in the 1.20 speed down, but an excellent time, our turns are definatley improving. And then clear in the 1.30 but dumbo here lost her way in the jump off so had to circle, but he didnt put a hoof wrong.
So a happy confidence building weekend with no stops or disasters
