Anyone seen the press release on BSJA website? Really interesting to see the strategic approach they are taking to win medals. About time too. Its about time we followed the example set by athletics and yachting.

It will be interesting to see how they progress and really makes you realise that 2012 isnt far away.

What do other people think?

It seems to be a sensible approach to take, although some of the names on the Evolution squad are a little surpriseing

I would have though Ben Maher would have been on the Performance squad for starters, and probably Geoff Billington too

I don't know enough about the riders individually I'm afraid. So I can't really comment. However, I did find it interesting to see they were taking a strategic approach to medal winning. I think all of our sports could do with working within such a structure.

Its always appeared we have had a team of people jut bought together on the day. This makes it look like we are grooming an Olympic Team. I think it's excellent. Will definitely make me start following some of the named riders careers and giving it more interest.

Top marks. That's what I say.

I think their omission is probably because they don't currently have horses that have jumped 5* level and I take it that any of the riders could be "promoted" during the season.
