This year I am joining the BSJA, and would start out jumping BN and Disco. first obviously. I would have to join as Juniour Associate.
Now, I have a dilema, as I can either join start of march, or in may when the 4 double clear qualifier things run out for last year.
If I were to join in march, then I run the risk of maybe winning some money (if I am lucky

), and maybe jumping out of the class before or around the start of this years 'time limit' and not being able to get my double clears.
If I join in may I won't have that problem and will be able to start on a clean slate, if you like. Thing is, I really want to get out jumping affiliated asap..

What would you do?

I wouldn't worry about jumping DCs, they are pointless, since the BSJA changed the rules as to the number of qualifiers in the regional final unless you are a pro sat on a very good horse that is winning foxhunters you have no chance.

Just go to shows and enjoy yourself. Don't forget the Amateur classes, you only need to come in the top 6 to qualify for the next round

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks the DC thing is pointless. I qualified Cat for the discovery 2nd round, & was sooo pleased with myself & working on Newcomers DCs til I found out that only 1 person per 50, to a max of 3 people goes thru to the 3rd round.

Join now & have some fun!

Join now-
I started off trying for my 4 double clears, but i ended up jumping out of british novice and discovery really quickly, and it sounds like Blu is very quick, so seriously just go out have fun and win some money!
I watched the BN finals, a) it was hugge, b) the top line up were certainly NOT novices
