I was thinking about doing some BSJA with Flash soon, and was wondering when you'd consider a horse to be ready? We've done a tiny bit of unaffiliated together, and he was fine. Is it a huge step up?
He's had a pretty quiet year as I wanted to give him time to mature, he has jumped BN juniors as a 4yr old, but he is now about 15hh. What would I do about this height change and previous registration thing? Do I first update the passport with the new height, or can tehy update it? (I noticed they issue passporrts, so wondered whether they updated them??) I don't have any of the details of what name he was under, a number or anything. His passport hasn't got any stamps or anything in it.
Whenever i've watched it the horses are always rather large, would he struggle because of his size? With striding etc?
Do you just fill out the forms on BSJA site to register horse and rider and send off his passport with it? Never done anything like this before, so sorry for all the silly questions!
