anyone got one and what are they like? they look good but never seen one in the flesh.

got a fal pro chieftain the other day and the fit is awful! well it just doesnt fit at all! so gotta send it back and was looking at other options

cheers

I have one.....a big heavy silver one.....I think its FAB. It has a huge range on temperature, so my mare has never been sweaty or cold in it, even on the warmest or coldest of winter days......she is fully clipped.

The only think I would say, is some people who have changed her rug for me, dont like the fastenings at the front, and there is a real 'nack' to it, which is sometimes awkward when you have cold fingers!

However, I would definitely buy another!

I have got the lightweight turnout, u can attach a hood to it also. It really good, its got that temperature range thing too so my horse is ok to be left init, its held out really well with all the rain we've been having!!

The only thing with it is i think its narrow at the front, its high pinned up, great for slender horses at the front but my old haflinger it wouldnt of touched!

Maisy is right out the fastening, although i still rate it and would get another one!

I have requested there catalogue actually but havent yet got it

I love them! Ditto the temperature thing they have a great range. The seem to fit my chunky beast and some of the slender horses on the yard too.

my daughter's 14.1 pony came with two of them. We have been using the lightweight one and I think it's great. Fits really well. It has an attached neck but there is plenty of 'spare' fabric so that when his head is down, his neck is still covered.

Haven't used the heavier weight one yet, but expect it to be good too.
