Don't suppose any one has tried both?

Had the Irish on three occations and is faultless - just wondering if any one with first hand experience thinks the sun shower is better?

Temped to get one just unsure if worth the extra ££ when Irish so decent ?!?

I had the Bucas Sun Shower when they first came out, so not sure if they have been changed , but they are very good.
Very lightweight and allows a breeze to lift the rug enough to cool the horse on a warm day. However, on a very windy day it might get a bit blowy.
Stays dry during summer showers but not sure how well it would cope with heavy persistent rain if it was the only rug option you had.
I like them as they do the job they're designed for -warm sunny days with the chance of a shower.

Can't compare it to the Irish as I have the Smartex rain, which is excellent but to warm for hot days.

Don't know what your criteria is, but I've just ordered the Premier Equine Stay-Dry Super Light fly rug which gives protection from the sun and has an insert waterproof back panel.
