Bucas Rugs

I have had a Bucas Power turnout (well...my mare has!), for the last 5/6 years....it is wonderful, however, I think it now needs sufficient repairs to go onto the 'spares' pile.....HOWEVER, when trying to find a new one, I now can't find one where the neck is attached....

Has anyone got one of the new designs, and are they any good? I am not really a fan of rugs with separate neck covers....

Yes, I did have 1 of the new Bucas Power Turnout rugs until some horrible person actually stole it off my horses back. I had no problems at all with the the detachable neck. I loved that rug becuase it was so versatile and useful. However, I will not be replacing it as I just can't afford to get another stolen-poor horse is now living in old rugs. Have now painted postcode on all the rugs as advised by other H & H members!

Thanks for your reply! Did you find there was ever a gap on the horses neck when they were grazing in it?

I love the temperature range the bucas rug is good for, I just wish they hadn't messed with the design!!

Love my Bucas rugs. I pick up the older style heavyweight Power Turnout with fixed neck on ebay. I also have a new one with the detachable neck and have had no problems with it but it is the lighter weight one for use in spring/autumn so I often don't put the neck cover on.
