Well, the ned's saddle needs a refit / possibly a new saddle!

He told me quite clearly when he bucked me off at speed (saddle was looking like it had dropped at his withers and was interfering with his shoulder - noticed after the event)!!!

Thanks to landing on a ploughed field and my Champion hat im OK considering i landed on my head and rolled over.... it went through my head at the time that i was going to break my neck! It was very scary, although i got up and was relatively unscathed!!

I have now bought at BP for hacking (as we normally canter and gallop on most hacks) and the ordeal has really made me think about the risks! Luckily, a very kind friend took me out yesterday for a hack ( against docs orders) and we had a canter (with a different saddle though) and he was back to his old self! She kindly persuaded me as my confidence easily can take a knock and i think its the best thing she could have done!

I didnt realise how painful whiplash was but its getting better every day.........

Just a quick reminder (more so for fast work) - BPs on!!!

I would defo go for physio for whiplash.

I fell off and didn't realise I had whiplash but I was stiff. As the weeks went by, I got worse and worse until I couldn't lit my head off the pillow in the morning, I had to roll out of bed.

Anyway, when I did eventually go to docs and get referred, I had to have 12 weeks of physio and now, 2 1/2 yrs later, I still do exercises to keep my neck in good shape. Basically, it will never be right but I do my best to keep it supple and pain free.

So, get it checked out!!!

Thanks for the advice on Whiplash, i didnt realise it could be so problematic. When i sneeze, even my throat hurts! I'll have a visit to the GP definately.

At the time, even the rest of the day it happened i seemed OK, it was the next day when i woke up that it really hit me.

Saddlers out tomorrow (although im probs gonna try a few before i make my decision), the cob is such a sensitive soul (and i like my neck in one piece!) that i want it PERFECT! Bless him though, the buck was a clear warning he couldnt take anymore and he has forgiven me already.

At least it was in a soft field............
