Buckets breaking?

Are anybody elses buckets (tubtrugs inparticular) becoming extemly brittle in these freezing temperature? Picked one up this mornign and the handles just snapped off!

Im running out of buckets to carry water from the house to yard!

Yep - they do become very brittle. The recycled rubber ones that are far more expensive really do work better in this sort of weather.

btw - could you do something to reduce the siz of your sig? It takes up most of my screen and is way outside the recommended sizes. Ta

Yes! Im not happy, Ive broke 3 feed/ water buckets in 2 days, only found out how this morning as I broke the 3rd...

hitting the wall with it to get the snow off...

I thought they should cope being 'flexible' and all that?!
 
Two of my tubtrugs have split - from handle to handle, all the way through - So I have two halves held together by brittle handles!

Funnily enough the cheap buy asda ones have been great - whereas the expensive horse version ones are the ones that have given way!

LOL and I remember going to the BETA Trade Fair, 3 years ago and telling the guys on the tub trug stand that their buckets do shatter in the cold but they said that I was mistaken, that was after a cold winter in Hampshire where my tubtrugs did indeed shatter in the cold weather there, so I am not surprised that this is happening now!
