Im fed up of feeding Inky and it going all over the floor mixed in with his bed :(

Ive tried buckets in tyres, he just removes the bucket then throws the tyre all around the stable, wasting his feed. Ive tried fastening the tyre to the wall, he just removes the bucket :( then breaks the fastening!

I want a nice safe bucket that i can attach to the wall but NOT a corner one. My YO feed him in a morning and with Inky having only a small door its easy for him to just reach in a plonk his feed bucket over the door without going in. I know it only takes a few seconds to open the door but the YO already has over 20 horses to feed and im on DIY so he really does me a favour and doesnt charge for it so i want to make it as easy as poss!!

Ive tried the foal stubbs ones but they are not big enough :(

Any ideas please??

I personally wouldn't use the 'clip on wall' ones - have seen too many horiffic nose injuries/rips from the clip.
Why not use a hook over the stable door manger?

I have a 10hh who does the same and he has an old cattle automatic waterer trough low on his stable wall which is disconnected and I put his rubber feed trug sandwiched sideways in that and that is the only way to stop him wasting feed.

The only problem to hook it over the door would make it too high :( I still think he'd knock it off little bugger!!!

I agree about the clips. he has his water clipped to the wall but i never have a problem with that one. he NEVER messes with it, just his feed one!!!

Have you tried the tyre mangers that go in the tyre then the top sits flush with the top of the tyre? My Highland used to throw her feeds everywhere but this stopped her, she couldn't get a hold of the bucket to throw it
