Just after some ideas really. Ty hasn't really bucked since I got his new tack but yesterday, after making him walk up the gallops we got a bit excited! He was ok in walk but the minute we trotted it all got too much. He wasn't bronking as I managed to stay on but in the end I just let him go as I didn't want to risk coming off.

Think some of it was the mood he was in but walking back he was trying to jog so beared down and shouted at him and he came back to me.

Just wondered if anyone else had this problem with their ex racehorse and how they sorted it?

Bucking doesn't bother me but I don't want him to reach the point he did 3 months ago where we get into leaping terrority!

had the same probs with racers on the gallops. they only did it to show excitement i felt and usually once they'd been worked enough they were completely settled. i'd try not worry about the bucking unless it does turn into bronking.

That's what I thought - it was more bunny hopping etc.....just don't want him to get bad like he did before! Hopefully being exercised 5 times a week will stop that happening. x
