Remember my cat with the fibrosarcoma? He had a big op, 9 inch wound to remove it. They missed a bit, or so we thought, so going back next week to get this small lump off.
discovered 3 more small lumps tonight in the region
his scar isn't fully healed yet, although the stitches are out.
Please send good vibes although I think this might really be the 'that's all we can do' and wait until the end.

I am so sorry to hear this K.
Not a good start to the new year.
Poor poor kitty.
Lots and lots of positive vibes that you will have some good time left.

Thank you all.
Will be ringing the vet in the morning to update them and see if they want to go ahead with the op, tbh I cant see it as they are quite spread out and there doesn't seem any point in putting him through more surgery if more will pop up.
He is a good age, 11/12 but it just makes me feel sick to have life without sam to boss the household about.
I don't even know how to tell when to let him go.
Thanks all again, he is happy now though as he's allowed to sleep where he wants and he enjoys all his sympathy.

My white fluffy cat was only 10 when we had to let her go. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. She had got the stage where she was sore when we lifted her, so an easy decision to make in a way. Your boy still sounds full of life, so fingers crossed he will be with you for a god while yet.
Are you going back to uni soon??
Fiona

Yup, back to uni next monday, it's a rubbish time for all this to happen, just when I can't physically be there to spend time with him so have been making the most of christmas.
I think that sounds like the way to tell isn't it. He had the big tumour off as it was annoying him and seemed to be sore so I guess that will tell us this time round.

I think you will know yourselves (and you aren't short of medical knowhow in your family) when he isn't enjoying it any more.
V hard on you being away at uni though (hugs!!)
