My Sec D won his M&M Inhand class yesterday.
The judge's feedback was really constructive, she said he had a lovely shoulder but also commented that she would've liked to see him stronger from behind.
We're off to the championships in September and I'd like to work on this.
Has anyone got any ideas how I can improve his strength from behind? The class is inhand, but he is ridden at home.

Very similar problem to the post before re the pessoa, i would again strongly suggest investing in the real deal pessoa as it is great, check out the post 'pessoa, jw, side reigns' good luck at champs.

Hill work in trot!

a pessoa makes a good alternative tho - it'll make him use himself properly and build up his back end as a result.

well done on your success too! glad the judge was constructive, it makes such a change!

Looks like I'm off to buy a pessoa then!
Thanks for your comments.
Yes Jenhunt, it was so nice to get feedback from the judge. I've been to so many shows that they just send you packing.
I feel like I've got something to work on now.
