Well, Wings has had a lighter work load recently, as have had exams coming up, but now I really want to get on and start rebuilding his topline, and getting him fitter. Currently, he is ridden about 4/5 times a week, 2 of which are schooling in an outline (long and low to warm up, the slightly higher), 2 are hacking (in an outline, including fast work every couple of weeks, if not once a week), and then the last is jumping. We do have good hacking around where I am, however it is very flat, so cannot walk him up hills or anything.
I also need the same sort of advice for Monica, as well as how to get a more consistant contact, and getting her swinging more and using her hocks more(has a naturally shorter stride). She is willing enough once working properly, and can stride out enough when in a slightly faster trot, however once you pick up the contact slightly more, she can get a little stuffy, although nothing major, and does get better once she is more of a forward trot.
Thanks for any help
