Bull Mastif x Rottie

Hi all, I have recently got a new puppy. He is a bull mastif x rottie, a first for me! I have always had GSD's (5 in total from pups till they died). Just wondered if anyone else had experience of this cross? I didn't go out looking for this particular cross but saw him advertised and fell in love with him! He is now 12 weeks old (got him 3 weeks ago) and he is a real sweetie, very trainable. Any experiences, info welcomed.

Take care with exercise with such a large breed whilst his bones are still growing, and get the best quality puppy food money can buy.
And well.....just enjoy, I love rotties and mastiff are lovely big laid back dogs in the right hands so im sure with the right socialisng and up bringing you will have a lovely bruiser of a lad

If you're used to GSDs, then throw everything you know out the window, basically

Agree be very careful with diet and exercise, although with GSDs you will know that, so don't throw that out the window

My friends got 2 of that cross both from the same litter. Lovely looking dogs, orange/tan colour with faint rottie markings. Incredibly strong, the slightly dog aggressive one dragged her across a field to get another dog but other than that they are both very trainable and clown like

I supposdly have have rottie/ saint bernard but not sure now hes very tall but lanky lol and for now has been around the same weight since 11months old. Hes currently 14months old and OMG he definately knackers us out at the end of the day.

He is currently testing every boundry he can possibly imagine but we love him even if he is a nut atm.

Snap!!! We have just got a 10 week old boy. We are struggling with just about everything, (he is the total opposite to my chihuahua x jack Russell who was textbook easy) but we will get there. They are ridiculously cute. Enjoy

I know two of this cross. They are wonderful dogs. Brilliant temperament. Everytime I see them I want to take them home but they're too big to sneak away with

Of course it wasn't funny. If her boyfriend hadn't grabbed the dog she could have had serious problems. She's currently having one to one training sessions with the dog after being advised to leave the group session.

the father of my dog is a bullmastiffx rottie, he is stunning, (not that i'm biased of course), my dogs mum is a full bullmastiff, my boy looks like a bullmastiff and is nothing like any of the rotties i have owned lol.
My only advice is to make sure he is well socialised, i had some housing problems when my lad was 6 months old and he lived at the stables for 6 weeks, missing out on some crucial socialisation, he is now not very good with other dogs, we're working on it but at 18 months old he weighs about the same as me which is a lot of dog to have on the end of a lead! i use a gencon headcollar on him now and it's been a godsend.
temperament wise with people he is an absolute cuddlebug, so much so we have to remind him he is NOT a lapdog
