Anybody elses having silly growing spurts?

I bought a 4 year old ex racehorse and she was 14.3, and I was told because she was a TB and had raced she would not grow anymore. She is now the top end of 15.2..

..
The cob I ride is also growing and he is about 7.. I think he has just stopped growing height wise. As a 5 year old he was about 14.3.. he is about 15.1 now..

When i had Doug in August he was 13.2hh, he is now 14.1hh! He has grown loads in height, and lost loads in weight

Atm he is bum high by a good inch so still has more to grow, yayy

It is so frustrating he is a lovely 15.2 at the minute and for showing i really dont want him any bigger, you dont see anything bigger than 15.2h at Hoys!!!
I bought him as a 3 yr old he was 14.3 so assumed has he only grew .5" last year that was his final spurt. I do understand he will still develop until 8/9years hope its only a tiny bit he grows!!
The filly is only 14.2 and she isnt growing and i so want her to be 15h at maturity, she will be a stunnner in a year or 2 a proper sec d big neck chest just need to catch up behind and hopefully height!

my 6yr old has also just had another growth spurt.I brought him as 15h and have not measured him since but he was bum high when i got him.levelled out nicely and has now gone bum high again.

OH and I have just been looking at my 4yo - I can no longer see the top of her bum from the ground - I haven't dared put the measuring stick on her, because even though I know she is going to end up around 17.2, I am still pretending she is 16.1

I'm glad others have this little surprises, it will probably explain his behavior the other day when he thought he was the only stallion in the village!! Seen as he is a gelding it is a tad funny!

My welshy has been growing loads for the last 3 years - hes 6 now and expecting him to still be devoping until he is 8ish, I know all his 'family' are late developers so no worries! Can't wait for another year or so though.
The bigger he is, the smaller the jumps look!

Exactly what I did with my mare. Measured her at 4yo and She was 17hh,still bum high. I stuck my fingers in my ears , la la la, when my friend told me what the stick said.
