So so annoyed but these things happen. I rang up about an hour after this horse went online and arranged to go today at 1pm to see said horse. Got about half way there and rang woman to say we are on our way and is she still for sale. Woman said yes but she has someone coming to see her at 12. I said Im not happy to ride a horse thats already been ridden that day. Just rung now and shes been sold. Wouldnt mind but I was the first to ring up about horse as woman said so. The mare sounded nice too.

This search is really testing my patience. Its been at least 2 months and Ive seen 2 horses with problems and 1 nutter. Got a feeling I wont be getting a horse till next year (at least not in my price bracket).

I drove down to devon (from oxon) last year to view a pony and arrived to find 3 other viewers at the same time...it turned into a bidding war so needless to say I got back in the car and drove off.

Also false advertising annoys me whilst I'm on a rant! I drove to the deepest depths of wales to see a potential eventer, that was actually covered in ring worm and looked like a hat rack:confused::confused:

Good Luck in your search...what are you actually looking for? I have a fiend who is looking to sell.
 
Playing the devil's advocate is that it is a buyers market so the seller wants to try and let as many people come and see the horse (if you have read other forum member's posters that are trying to sell, it is hard enough getting one committed potential buyer!). I think the problem that you may have is that your looking at a popular price range - I was in the same boat as you a month or so ago. I would arrange a viewing and the horse would be sold as buyers would take a morning off work just to go view the right horse. When I found my current one, I did exactly that - called up and took the afternoon of work. Hope you find the right one soon :)
 
Got a headache now! I cant take a day off work or even half a day so Im stuck until the weekend. But the thing is I rang up first altho she said that I should've rung up in the week to confirm appointment when Id rung Tuesday think it was last week and was first to call about the horse. And I thought the market was dead at the moment!

Im after a 16.1-16.3, middleweight, no TBs, thats sane sensible, good to do in all ways and good in traffic. budget of up to 3k. N. Wales/N. West/Mids area.

Ahh well keep searching...
