Vets just been out to look at Ty and is 90% sure it's hock spavin in both legs.

So now have to speak to insurance company and make sure he's covered and go for the investigatative work now to confirm it.

Poor sod, hope we can get him sorted as he's got a cracking jump on him when he puts his mind to it and I'd be gutted to think that he wouldn't be right again.

Could kick myself for putting him on loan over the winter - stupid girl did nothing with im (not even hack him) and it's just made him stiffer. Oh well, guess it just confirms to me that he won't leave my sight again!

Does anyone insure with NFU? Do they cover transport/livery in their vets fees?

Aww what a shame - Does he think he can treat it?

I used to insure with NFU and I think I got £500 towards transport and 50% hospitalisation fees. Hope that helps...

Thats really bad news

Has he got corrective shoes on ?

Vets should cover as new diagnosis and unless both back legs have been written off.

I knew it was hock spavin before she even came out - it's obvious really.

Hopefully we'll get him back on form, will just take him I guess....if not, he's going to end up as a very fat field ornament
