Does anyone know what this is on my mare, ive clipped her and these have appeared? The physio did ask if she had rain scald as he felt some scabs (pre clip) it can’t be tho as she’s never had much turn out in her life (showjumper) and not out without a rug with me?

Any ideas? They don’t seem to be bothering her

I'm having the exact same problem but mine are bothering my mare (I have a thread about it too). I've now clipped her so I can see the lumps properly and there are so many. 😔

Could it be sweat rash? If they were there before clipping. Mine got a few scabs in his armpits when they were a bit fluffy and it was mild last week.

Could be dermatophilis. Aka rain scald/sweat scald. The weather has been mild so could have sweated when ridden or under a rug. Bathing in diluted hibiscrub should clear it up.
Was going to say the same. It’s been quite mild and damp so I wouldn’t be surprised if unclipped horses were harboring some nasties in their coats.
