Bungee/elastic training rein - anyone used?

I have bought one of these made by Shires from Ebay.
What position would past users recommend and has anyone had good results from using these?

A few of the girls from my yard have had lovely results so I was keen to give them a try.

Yeah, i use them! Love them! Although, i call them "elasticated twangy things"!!!

Depends on what im doing, but they're either clipped onto the girth, or onto the D-rings.

yep, I've used mine loads, had it for years. i generally use it between the front legs, loose at first and then tightened depending on how he's going.

It works superbly for me as he has a tendancy to rest on the forehand but this being elasticated means he can't.

I've always called mine a 'Gummy' until someone told me that was possible a little rude in German???

I bought a v good quality one from Sederholm select 10years ago and it is still going strong. I use it between the front legs

I use bungees, think they are great cos not too restrictive. I use them down between the front legs and clipped onto a spur strap around the girth.

good for lunging in too - i always tuck them through the breastplate to avoid them dangling.
