It really was appalling wasn't it. They were rolling out bales of straw as we arrived and by the time the first jumping session had finished it had mixed in with the sludge and just became more stuff to stick to your boots.
It was a fantastic competition though

Wasn't it mad!!
They were tipping a trailer load of wood chippings in the gateway yesterday morning - no sign of them later in the day!
They were putting straw down this morning - little sign of it later in the day... except for our boots
At least the mud kept skint me out of the tradestands. I was so good, I only bought a reduce gillet for me, and a little high viz coat for Popple!! Well worth £4 to see her reaction when I came home and put it on her!!
Although I'm a huge fan of Mary's, I wanted Tam to win most of all - Man, I love that horse!
And having coped with the worst going in each phase he MORE than deserved it!
