Burghley Sports Pony Gold Cup

I don’t usually post in here as I don’t compete anymore. Those that follow the Morning Thread follow the antics of my two granddaughters. But having mentioned the older one competing at Burghley, I thought you might like to see this photo.
After a dressage test, an arena xc , and a show jumping round, both clear she finished a creditable 7th losing marks for knocking down the joker fence. The whole experience was amazing.

Thank you for the lovely comments, we are privileged to own this pony and previously keen but cautious granddaughter has built a lovely rapport with him.
Mimsyborogrove, he has extraordinary breeding , he is by a Welsh Mountain Pony called Rushiefauld Havanna out of KWPN mare! Havana was the highest scoring stallion in dressage and jumping at his Sports Horse grading. Very well known in Scotland.
fetlock, Midnight doesn’t even need a martingale, he usually just wears a breastplate for jumping, but it was in the rules!
He can’t be completely perfect though…he has a prodigious buck when excited!
