Hurrrah! Tickets are here :)

Ive never been before (I grew up in Devon so only ever went to Badminton/Blenheim)

Any advice for when im there? Ill prob just drive up from Norfolk for the day.

Is anyone else going?
Ive got just Saturday tickets :):)

You'll love it, its my favourite XC to watch. We will be there XC day, just trying to decide if to camp for the whole week or not.

I may get a cheap premier inn somewhere near stamford but we'll decide nearer the time.

So excited already.

Are there many bargains to be had?!

Im going Th , Fri , Sat and Sunday . 34th year for me ! If I add up cost of tickets , accommodation and shopping ....I could of bought Burghley ! Fantastic event , get there early to get around the shops and have enough time to walk around the course . Take something to sit on if your going around the course and a snack . There's a drop off place for your shopping behind the stand near the scoreboard , I think its a donation . If you want a hotel get booked now as everywhere gets booked very quickly , I book mine for next year as I check out !
Main thing is have fun and enjoy the day.

I will be going the Saturday but don't usually book tickets, just turn up. I'm bringing my OH for his first burghley experience this year.

I always buy cheap jods, dog treats & bailey's garlic which is very cheap compared to our local shop so we stock up for the year. Last year I came home with a brand new barnsby saddle for £325! So there are good bargains to be had if you can find them.

But yes, I would get there early, make the most of the cross country & stay after to shop, I do usually do some shopping in the middle of the day too, but make sure I'm on the course first & last thing to watch those who I know I want to see.

I'm going on the Saturday for the first time too! travelling up from Essex just for the day, very excited! Will be watching this thread with interest, all advice and tips welcome!
