Is anyone subscribing to their channel? Is it the same company that did Badminton? I heard a few bad things about the badminton coverage so hesitating on pressing the subscribe button.

I think a lot of the issues people had with the Badminton coverage was at the home end, not the Badminton end ;)

I've subscribed.

I think so far it's just previous year's highlights on there which has worked fine the small bits I've watched but looking forward to the 2022 coverage .

I had no issues with the Badminton coverage either.

IIRC the coverage of the first trot up at Badminton was very glitchy, which was not a promising start at all. The event organisers promised us that the rest of the coverage would be by another company, and it was indeed much smoother.

Much better than anything from H&C, not that that is difficult.

The trot up was was never meant to be part of Badminton TV I seem to remember, but it started the assumed lack of quality chaos. Burghley TV has always been good, so fingers crossed for this year :D

Cross country coverage was distinctly ropey at times at Badminton. Can remember us moaning on here about it and at the same points of ropeyness.
havent signed up to Burghley TV yet but will do. I want to tut and fester about having to do so till the day before it starts first.

There was a long thread about Badminton tv which then merged into comments on how the competition itself was progressing. 320 posts if anyone cares to trawl through it.

https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/...live-via-the-bbc-red-button-this-year.816778/

The quality of the Badminton coverage has not put me off subscribing to Burghley, but my very real conflict about whether I still feel comfortable watching horses being risked at top level eventing nearly did.

I’ve just subscribed. They have a course preview with this years designer, great stuff. (Have to say the parkland is looking very yellow)They also have all of last years coverage too which I will plough through between now and the start of this year. Can’t wait!

Too expensive. I feel £25 is a bit much to be honest, especially when I already pay monthly for Clipmyhorse which I assumed would show things like this but clearly doesnt. I paid for Badminton TV and never went back to watch any of the other stuff so IMO wasn't good value for money.

We did for badminton ...the coverage wasn't great at the start but it did improve. We actually went on XC day and found the live feed really useful as we walked round to see who was on the course and where etc!

I've not looked at it since though, I'm not sure many people bother after the actual weekend!

Hi - my friend has a 4 year old in the Young Event Horse class on Friday. Does anyone know/can anyone remember from last year if this is shown live or will I have to wait for some kind of highlights video later in the evening/the next day?

Believe this year is the first time they’ve ever showing it!
