I don't usually boast online about my horse's achievements, but as the owner/breeder of the horse, and having owned and competed her sire all his life, I felt compelled to give a report. this is the copy that i sent to H&H.....
"Having had a successful day eventing on Friday at Burnham Market International horse trials, where two East Anglian combinations won the Novice, and Open Novice classes. Both are part bred welsh, by Section d stallions. The novice winner, Corndu Savistanos, owned and ridden by Verity Becker from Norfolk is by Ffoslas Black Ledgend.
The Open Novice winner, Cundlegreen Birthday Girl, owned by her breeder Vanessa Francis, who also stands the sire Felinfach Tory Boy, and ridden by Caroline Smith, both from Suffolk, has also won all three starts at Burnham Market, and seems to have an affinity with the course!
Thought this might be of interest. Quite an achievement, considering the size of the sections, and the quality of english and foreign riders against them, including olympic riders."
Having seen the quality of competitors in our Open Novice section, I did wonder why we were entering, but it is a local, and Becky needed a run, so I was hoping for a mid section placing and a double clear. To win it with a 15.2hh pony was amazing, and a very proud owner moment!!
