Apologies, but my local petshop has a loyalty scheme for Burns Chicken and Brown Rice which makes it roughly equivalent in price to Skinners Salmon & Rice - any thoughts on one or t'other please?

Burns over skinners I'd say/ unless you have a poor doer in which case Burns will prob drop more weight off them.

If you are anywhere near a Mole Valley Farmers, their MVF Mole Premium Chicken and Rice might be worth a try. It is wheat, gluetin, dairy, beef and soya free and since switching to this from Skinners Duck/Salmon and rice, my 11yo terrier has stopped vomiting pink frothy stuff up and is not so itchy. Coat is millions better, softer and with less shedding, and even though a year older, he is wanting to go out each day for a walk.

£25.00 for 15kg.

Burns is a good food but very difficult to keep weight on a very active dog with it.I used to use it for my dog because we stocked it at work and had very good discounts on it,much preferred ot over royal canin or hills standard fare....solid poo, great coat and seens very palpatable but it was a constant battle to keep her weight on the mutt(mental terrierx)... even when fed above the recommended levels and three meals a day.nice company to deal with over the phone as well.

Great food for a good doer though and seems to suit the sensitive tums very well :) personally I always found the weight loss food the best on the market when dealing with obese pets going on a controlled diet...and actually feedig just that food.
