At the Associated Championships are all tests indoors? That indoor arena looks pretty spooky especially with that run of windows along the bottom with scary people the other side. And it looks very compact. How do people find it with not so brave horses and riders? What’s the venue like as a whole, and is the Native Breeds Champs worth a 7 hour round trip ? We’re not very good so IF we go it would simply be for the experience as I imagine the standard is quite high.

I don't know about the event you are talking about, but I really like Bury Farm and didn't have any problems with the indoor being spooky. Lovely surfaces indoor and out. I happily travel further than usual to go to events there as the facilities are lovely and events are usually very well run.

Would be hard to poke their head 'out of the window' as the windows do not open!
On my video of my freestyle that is what it looked like, all I was aware of was a noise and my horse spooking, from the back area of the canteen as I rode past. Regardless it's a lovely place and I would go back again. If you want to look it's the 3:00 mark but the music is so loud you can't hear clearly. My friends who were filming said the window into the kitchen was open.
