Just a quick one.

We've got a new sofa and Fodhla really seems to want to bury her bones/ears whatever in it. Obviously I'm keen to avoid this and so far a quick 'ah ah' has stopped it.

Got me thinking, has anyone created a specific place for their dog to bury their bones? She tends to leave them behind curtains/in her crate/under her bed/the odd one under my pillow, but it doesn't seem particularly satisfying.

I'm thinking of getting some sort of box filled with...I don't know maybe blankets? or something that would be very satisfying for her to hide her treasure in. Would love if anyone has any ideas?

I probably sound mad, worrying I'm not providing a safe space for chews.

Had to look twice at the title - wondered if you had fallen out with OH! She sounds to have found enough places herself - would the dedicated space just become yet another one? My son's dog does this, but never seems to go back and actually eat the buried item. I think he gradually phased out the larger treats.

Would not have worked with mine - she wants to bury her bones/socks/wellington boots whatever where I can’t find them. If I catch her in the act of burying then she quickly runs off with her treasure out of my sight. I find all sorts of random things behind cushions, in my bed, in the flowerbeds.

She has loads of places, but I think she really prefers to dig. she'll run about with whatever in her mouth and then do a little whinge if she can't find anywhere she deems suitable. I swear she just settles for places and then does an actual sigh. She doesn't sigh when she's dug to get her treasure buried. But I don't want her digging up the sofa (the other sofa has been subject to hefty repairs in the early days(.

@Petalpoos she doesnt seem to mind if we watch!
