After, the groomer we used to go to, didnt have space for a whole week so he went to another one today that had 10% off first visit. Not 100% happy with it, she was very funny about me wanting his legs clipped close as they should be scissored etc.

Couldnt do his face today it was all just tooo much for him, going back next week for his face and tail to be done . So he looks a bit like a lion.

Hes a skinny puppy under all that mass

They dont have the brain to paw coordination tho to be athletic. Hes a lot skinner than I thought, I knew he needed a bit of meat on his bones but the camera hasnt picked up how well you can see his ribs now hes a bit more settled I will start him on raw like my others, he loved his bone last night hopefully it wont take him 10minutes to eat raw.... :) He takes sooo long he gets distracted by things going on around him lol

{on que Buster walks into TV table AGAIN}

is it bad that I prefer him before ? :O I think its his 'full' tail??

However, hes still lovely :D He just looks like a lovely character to have about :)

No OES's are meant to be floofy. But he had so many mats on his tummy I wanted to start again.

Normally his head and tail would be done too but he just had had enough today.

What he was before is probably as long as I would let him get, he has a very out doors life with us. Trust me sopping wet OES in your house dont smell too good. :)

I think you are right to start again and he is slim jim under all that. This is a breed I know from my childhood. We had one and my parents bred from her (just a little not a lot!!). They shouldn't be so ribby. But you know what you are working with now! A nice practical coat and a decent diet - so glad this boy has found you now! They are lovely cuddly people I know my mum was pregnant with me when they got their first and I grew up cuddling into one!

My friend had one when she was younger and they were paid by dulux to go to the supermarkets and do promotions.

My Gran used to do this with one that was bred from ours. Lots of B&Q stores were opened by an OES!

Aw bless him, he does look a lion like with his head and tail still on. I bet he is a lot comfier without all the tangles and you will now be able to monitor his weight and keep on top of his coat as it grows again. I like the length you are aiming for, manageable but still has the OES teddy bear look.

DG dont call him a poodle lol.

Hes going back on sat for his head and tail to be done so will look bit better then. But I didnt want him to have a really stressful experience he just started to mumble a bit so we decided to stop.

We had 2 OE when we first moved out to the sticks. Not the best breed to have on a stable yard!! Ours weren't clipped except for a monthly wash and trim. I miss the dogs but not the hour long groom each on a nightly basis!! :eek:

Toffees got all that grooming to come:eek: I dont envy her, I just grateful my Dobes are so good in that they only need the odd brush. The LH has longer hair so will need a bit more in the way of grooming. I have a friends Lab atm and cant believe all the hair coming off him.:eek:
