Bute alternatives

Does anyone use anything instead of bute?
Just wondering if the likes of No-Bute, ButeX etc were anygood

no bute is good,worked well for millie when she had her back problems when we got her, before we reailised what it was, alway better to get to the bottom of the problem though. Hope its nothing to serious

Used No-Bute on a horse of mine in the past - found it to be very good.

Any brand of liquid devils claw is good, but IMO not as strong as bute.

boswellia kinder on stomach then devils claw.
Look under horse supplements on ebay and you can read all info.

Boswellia is kinder on stomachs than devil's claw if it's for long term use and has the same effects.

You wont get the same effect as bute with any of the herbal alternatives, just a watered down sort of result. The herbal things generally take much longer to come into effect too.

If your horse needs the effect that bute gives then I would stick with it.

My horse needs a bute a day to stay sound. I switched gradually over to No Bute instead and this is working fine.

Boswellia is brilliant, i also use it in conjunction with Buteless by Equine America and she seems dead happy

I used to use NoBute to great success and now use Buteless (can't consistantly get hold of the other) and he's less comfortable than he was but I think that is his condition worsening.
